Wicca is authentic, organized witchcraft, with a doctrine compiled of concepts safeguarded and handed down from very ancient times, through every single country in the world. It has been practiced, preserved, and constantly refined with the addition of knowledge by millions of people banded together in small, compatible secret groups forming covenants with each other and with the whole, but with the freedom to form and practice their own traditions.Wicca as we know it today, is European-American traditional "Witchcraft." A living way of all the ancient pathways that have come together in today's new age of freedom. Each immigrant that came to this country brought their own customs, and their own brand of witchcraft with them. Wicca is learning to control and use the Natural Laws established by our Creator, and to live within the boundaries imposed by these laws, fruitfully and harmoniously.
Wicca is personal Power, developed and wisely used to enhance our lives, physically, emotionally, financially, and spiritually.
Wicca is love of the physical manifestation of our Creator, Nature, the giver of life.
Wicca is worship of the Mother, the Father, the Goddess, the God aspects of our Divine Creator, demonstrated by having a good full life, and coming together to pay homage by ritualistic celebration accompanied by joyful pageantry on holy days, known as Sabbats.
The Wicca do not worship "The Devil." They know him for what he is - a conjuration of the Church. He is probably very real, in that he is a highly energized "thought form" kept alive and flourishing by those who live in perpetual fear of both the Devil himself, and the wrath of "God!"
Wicca is dealing with man-made evils which imperil our lives. We simply banish them. The Devil, the Evil Eye, hexes, hoaxes, and all the like are obliterated, modified, or remanded over to 'Nature the Just' - "For every action there is an equal and opposing reaction, for every cause there is an effect." By utilizing our own natural gifts, we cause these wholesome influences to bounce right back to their origin, like a tennis ball off a brick wall!
